Shoo by Hana Goldberg Ebook Review

August 19, 2015

I had the opportunity to read Shoo an ebook by award-winning Isreali author Hana Goldberg. The book is about 12 pages long and features rich and colorful illustrations that fit the story line perfectly. The story features Shoo, a stray cat who is hungry and has no place to call home. Shoo dreams of having a home and meets a little girl named Maya, who upset about moving to a new home. They comfort each other and soon Maya has a new friend and Shoo has a new home.

Goldberg does a great job of capturing the emotions of both Shoo and Maya. The book certainly can teach children and adults about care. I read the story to May and she could understand the sadness felt in the beginning and the happiness felt at the end. She was actively engaged in the story through the end and pointed at the pictures. Overall this is a great book for people of all ages. It really does a wonderful job of showing emotions, especially care.

Currently Shoo is free on Amazon.

Another great children's book by Goldberg is Pink Tears, which also touches on emotions. Currently, Pink Tears in on retail for $2.99 on Amazon.
