Happy Friday! It's finally here, my UniVoxBox from Influenster! I've been an Influenster member since 2011 and this box is my sixth VoxBox. I've done other reviews on previous boxes. You can find them here. If you aren't familiar with Influenster, more information can be found on their about page. I received an email for this VoxBox back in February. From the questions asked I thought it was more for the J'Adore VoxBox. I was surprised to see that I got an email back saying I was in for the UniVoxBox. Influsenter can sometimes have many different VoxBox programs going on at one time. I do have the Collegiate badge under my life style badges but that doesn't necessarily mean you'll get a VoxBox. I got another email not long after the one saying I got in for the UniVoxBox, to pick a shade for foundation. I knew then that the box would include makeup. Over the course of the last few weeks, Influenster revealed some clues on their Facebook page. I knew the box had a lipstick in it but I stayed away from the page to keep more of what was inside a secret. Then yesterday I got an email for tracking the package and ta-da today I received it.
Ok enough of that, here's the UniVoxBox:
Playtex Sport Fresh Balance Tampons
I thought this product was a little odd. I've seen in other boxes tampons given out. It's a good size box and the 360 degree protection sounds great. They definitely won't go to waste.
Rimmel Stay Matte Liquid Mousse Foundation- I've heard of Rimmel London, and I was able to get the Rimmel VoxBox featuring the Rimmel London Lash Accelerator Endless Mascara a few months ago. Now I got the foundation in Soft Beige (200). I tried it on the back of hand and found the foundation to be too light. The product was not too thick and spread nicely across my hand though. I might be able to use it.
NYC Expert Last Lipstick- I got this lipstick in Forever Fuchia (447). I must say this is a very pretty color. It's brighter than most lipsticks I have. I tried this product and found that the lipstick went on very smooth, my lips felt moisturized. I'll use this more of a lip stain.
Broadway Impress Press-On Manicure- I received a very dark brown color. I've seen Influenster give these press-on manicures in other boxes as well. I haven't tried these on yet. The last time I tried on press-on nails was for Halloween when I was like 10. I was a witch and it was such a pain to get them off. I am though excited to try these nails. I like that there's no drying time and that the manicure lasts for up to a week. The color isn't too bad either.
Red Rose Real Tea
I was excited to get this product. I've tried flavor enhancers in the past and I love tea, so I thought I'd enjoy this product. The flavor I got was Blackcurrant Raspberry and on the bottle it says to use one squeeze for each 8 fl oz serving. Both my father and I tried this product in cold water and we really like it. I could taste the raspberry and the water was slightly sweet. I'm sure hot tea with this additive would taste good as well. Included in the box was also a coupon to save $1 for this product. We'll be using that ASAP.
Lastly a Pilot Acroball PureWhite pen
Overall, I am pleased with this VoxBox. I really like the tea and the pen. Though the foundation is a little, I still find all the products to be practically and I will use them. Thank you so much Influenster!
Until the next VoxBox :-)
If you'd like to join Influenster, I still have a few invites left. Message me for details.
On Saturday, we took a little road trip to Union, New Jersey. It was a bit breezy and cloudy but later on in the day the wind started to die down a bit and the sun came out. I've been wanted to go back to the school I graduated from, Kean University, for a while now. I was off from work and kind of spur of the moment, we went up that way. Kean is about an hour a half away from where my parent live and the drive up wasn't too bad.
Kean has added many new buildings since I graduated, though we visited the older building where I had most of my classes. It was nice because it was a Saturday and not too many people were on the campus. May seemed to like the stream that runs by the building where I used to take my classes. She was pointed at many of the plants too. Rex seemed to like the campus as well and said it was big. We walked on the floor of the Geology and Meteorology department and looking at the synoptic maps on the wall brought back many more memories.
We didn't stay long at Kean and we stopped at White Castle to grab a bite to eat. Later we went to Warinanco Park in Roselle. I was familiar with the park because that's where the department holds annual picnics inviting current students and former students, as well as other science department. It's usually held in April, though I have not hear anything yet about a meeting this year. Warinanco Park is very big, but we found a nice spot by the water and there was a playset across from the water where children were playing. We took May to the swings and at first she didn't wanted want to get on the swing. She did however want to walk holding our hand and look at the other children who were playing. The playset may have been a bit for older children but there was a small slide that we pushed her down twice and she enjoyed that. Later on she wanted to go on the swing and I pushed her. She laughed and looked around. When we got her out she didn't want to leave but we decided not to stay for too long, it was a bit chilly out. We got back to my parents house later that evening. It was nice to get out of the house and see a different area. We'll make more trips to go other places as the weather gets nicer. We are hoping to go to Lancaster, PA soon. I know Rex and May will really enjoy it out there. It's so open and beautiful out that way.
Here's a few pictures we took of May at the park :-)

For this week's Friday Find, I wanted to discuss BookBub. I've been looking for more ebooks to read lately during my free time lately and I found the site listed above. In order to access the site you must become a subscriber. When you subscribe you are offered with list of different genres in which you can select. These are your preferences. What the site does is review your preferences and sends you email updates of discounted or free ebooks, based on what you picked. I like this form of service. I have found a couple of interesting ebooks through this website, including Miracles Are for Real: When Heaven Touches Earth and Everything I Know. The site also lists the platforms in which the ebook is avaliable on, as well as when the deal expires.
You can also view more discounted or free ebooks on the website. There are many categories to choose from.
On thing to keep in mind is to make note of the expiration date listed underneath the various platforms or platform the ebook is offered. Some of the deals are few days while others might be good for that day.
For more information on BookBub, check out their overview page.

Squeak, I'm so excited. Citrus Lane, a subscription box service for moms and babies, toddlers and preschoolers, came today. I've been eying Citrus Lane for a while, at $29 a month, it's a little on the pricey side. The company also offers a 3 month subscription and a 6 month subscription which go for $24 and $21 respectively. I found a promo code to drop the price to $19 a few weeks ago and decided to order the box and at least try it for the month. I saw previous box reviews of this service and liked how the items are curated towards the child's age. In the profile section you can enter your child's birth date and I believe the box I got is more curated for toddlers.
Here's what I recieved in my box:
All Natural Hand Sanitizing Wipes- CleanWell
I was pretty happy to see this product. Recently my daughter and I caught a cold and we've all been trying to be extra clean. This package has 40 wipes wipes and is alcohol free. I like the smell of the wipes, the scent is Orange Vanilla. It's great that these wipes are biodegradable and can be used not just on the hands but on the face, and counter tops.
Push Pull Toy- Hape
I was happy to see this item included in the box. I really enjoy reading to my daughter and the book looked like a sweet story. I like how the book is cut out and like a peek-a-BO book, which is fun and engaging. May's story book collection is growing :-)
Medi Buddy- Me4Kidz
Ok, how come I've haven't seen this. This item is great! Accidents happen and we definitely try to keep them to a minimum. This product is a first aid kit with 40 items included. There's kid-friendly bandages, antiseptic wipes, gauze pads and more. The small case makes it great for on the go and it will be a wonderful addition to our other first aid kit. According to the card provided in the box, "each purchase of Me4kids products gives back to the disabled community." Let's share the love.
Overall, I'm very pleased with the Citrus Lane March 2014 box. I feel all the products are very practical for my child's age and there was thought put into them. As much I like the box, I'm debating on keeping the subscription due to price. Maybe I'll try out one more month.
Disclaimer: I purchased this box with my own money and was not monetarily compensated for this review. Opinions are honest and are completely my own.

Push Pull Toy- Hape
I received an email from Citrus Lane about this product. The company was asking in the email to select which push pull toy to include from a selection. I believe this was a selection of five and they also had the option, "surprise me." The product itself is made from sustainable products and is great for developing balance and motor skills. All of the push pull toys they had as part of the selection looked so cute, I chose the giraffe because I saw my daughter playing a lot with the wooden giraffe from the Melissa and Doug Safari Chunky Wooden Puzzle, I got from Pampers Rewards. I gave her the toy and she got really happy when she saw it, she pushed the toy around too a little bit.
You Are My Baby: Farm- Chronicle Books

Happy first day of Spring! Ah the rebirth!. I apologize for the lack of posts. These past few weeks, have been kind of rough, especially with Winter was really holding on. We got 2 inches of snow on St. Patrick's Day. For the past couple of days, May and I were battling colds and May just seems to be getting better now.
Last week, Rex, May and I went to Maryland to see family there. I had the day off from my job and Rex has been taking care of May while also looking for work. It was nice to take a break and visit his family. It had actually been about 2 months since May and I have visited Maryland. We keep in touch with May's grandparents and cousins through FaceTime, yet that isn't the same as seeing one another face-to-face. We had a good time in Maryland and May had fun playing with her cousins. A cute moment was when May hugged Josh, cousin who's 5 days older than she.
Rex recorded this video of them:
They were playing and curious of one another. We hope to visit Maryland more and one day hopefully get back to Maryland. The weather is getting warmer. Today the high was 56 and it was nice to see the last snow packs melting. Though I've been working more, I'm even closer than ever now to defending my thesis and graduating from graduate school. There are many edits to get to the final product. It's been a long process but and there were times I just wanted to say "Forget It," but I'm happy I stayed with it and had such great support. Even with our current living situation we aren't giving up. I've been saying it'll take to get back on track. We're getting there, slowly but surely we are getting there.
