It's been a little while once again, since I featured a Friday Find. That'll change for today and beyond, hehe. Today I'll be featuring the survey site TellWut. I've been registered with TellWut for a few weeks now and I really like how many options the website has. There are surveys you can take that are no more than 5 minutes, much of the time, that users of the site have created. You can also create your own surveys. Though these surveys only range from 5 to 10 points, TellWut sends out the opportunity to earn more points doing other surveys. Those surveys usually take longer like 15 minutes or more but the points can range from 50 and above. The website also offers coupons specific to your location.

Many of the surveys in the most recent category are very current with what's going on in the world and it's interesting to see the different options. You can also comment on the surveys are well. The rewards aren't too bad. Here's a view of some of the rewards:

You can see that a $10 Amazon gift card is 4,000 points. There are actually many nice rewards on the site. I'm working towards the $10 Amazon girt card though the $25 Visa card for 13,000 points doesn't look so bad. I also like how TellWut sometimes offers invitations to panels. Panels are a nice way to share ideas about various topics and in a lot of cases you can get gift cards just for participating. I recently joined a panel about cleaning called Home Clean Home. So far I've seen panel options are few but when you get an email for one, take the survey if you can. You might find yourself on a panel you really enjoy. Overall, I think TellWut is a very lively site. There are a lot of option you can do on the site itself.

For this week's Friday Find, I'd like to talk about a website called Reward Survey. Reward Survey is a free site where you take surveys of different values that account for Reward Points. For example one survey might be worth $20 Reward Points. The Reward Points go towards magazine subscriptions. Here's some of the rewards that are currently being offered:

The surveys are not long at all and take about 10 minutes. According to the site, the surveys update at least once a weeks, so that gives opportunities to earn more Reward Points to use towards a reward. Currently they have a survey on oral hygiene for $20 Reward Points. I was able to take the survey and was rewarded the points and selected Wired magazine as my reward for $15 Reward Points. That left me with $5 Reward Points towards my next purchase. I entered no credit card information at all, I just entered information on where to send the magazine.

It looks like the magazine that are offered change throughout the day and the week, so watch out for that especially if you are looking to claim a specific magazine. Overall I think the site is pretty good. There's a lot of magazines that are featured and there's really no obligation at all. Check it out!

I wanted to share a new beverage I recently discovered. It's Premium Peony White Tea. From my previous entries you'll know I'm taking steps to become more healthy and I've started drinking more tea.

I researched some of the benefits of white tea and found much about them from The White Tea Guide. Here are just a few of those benefits:

    White Tea Antioxidants
Antioxidants are nutrients that protect the body from damage by free radicals. Free radicals are nasty things that go around wreaking havoc on your body, damaging DNA and accelerating aging. Antioxidants scoop them up and neutralize them. White tea is loaded with these protective nutrients.

    Cancer Prevention

White tea may have profound power against cancer-causing cells and against many different types of cancer, such as colon, prostate, and stomach cancers. Flavonoids, a class of antioxidants, inhibit the growth of cancer cells and prevent the development of new ones. In some cases, white tea has been found to work as well as prescription drugs, but without the side effects.

    Lower Blood Pressure

Studies show that white tea can thin the blood and improve artery function. It helps lower high blood pressure and maintain a healthy one. By promoting strong and healthy blood vessels, white tea guards against the ravages of stroke.

    Lower Cholesterol

Catechins, another group of antioxidants, have been found to reduce cholesterol, and white tea is teeming with them. Cholesterol is a special type of fat and is necessary for health. There is good cholesterol and bad cholesterol, and white tea increases the good while decreasing the bad. This helps prevent hardening of the arteries and blockage of blood flow.

    Heart Protection

By thinning the blood, lowering blood pressure, and reducing cholesterol, white tea protects the heart and the entire circulatory system. Researchers have also discovered that people who drink 2 or more cups of tea a day are almost 50% less likely to die after suffering a heart attack. White tea is truly a remarkable heart tonic.

    Stronger Bones

Studies have found that people who drank tea regularly had greater bone density and strength than non-drinkers. White tea may also have beneficial effects for sufferers of arthritis and osteoporosis.

    Antibacterial & Antiviral

White tea is a natural killer of bacteria and viruses. The antioxidants so abundant in white tea tone the entire immune system, providing protection against a variety of invaders and a wide range of diseases. Its helps guard against the common cold and flu, and can ease the symptoms of HIV.

    Healthy Teeth and Gums

White tea contains small amounts of fluoride and other nutrients which keeps the teeth strong and healthy. It also kills the bacteria which causes plaque, tooth decay, and bad breath.

    Healthy Skin

Free radicals from staying out in the sun too long, stress, and a poor diet can damage the skin and cause it to prematurely age. By scavenging these free radicals, white tea protects the skin and helps to reverse some of the damage. Drinking white tea promotes healthy and radiant skin.

I like that white seems to have more antioxidants than green tea. I'm drinking two cups of the tea a day. Once in the morning and once at night. I don't any sugar or honey too the tea and I think it tastes good just the way it is. It's is definitely staying a part of my routine!

To find out more about white tea, check out White Tea and It's Health Benefits on About.com.

Fiverr is a website I found while searching "ways to make money online." When I first saw Fiverr I thought of marketplaces like Ebay, though Fiverr is slightly different. Fiverr is a marketplace in which people can post gigs, based on things they like to do or purchase a gig more to their liking. There are a mesh of categories of gigs on the site. Some include Graphics & Design, Writing & Translation and Lifestyle, among a variety of others. There's even a Fun & Bizarre category.

Just browsing the site I was overwhelmed by variety of services, on the first page alone. It's like a one-stop shop for services. There are some listening which have a yellow banner across them which indicates that they are a top rated seller. There is an informative How It Works outline for both buying and selling, which pops on the home page. From looking at some of the gigs, offering more to the offer increases the starting price. One thing I really like about the site is that it features services from all over the world. If you select to sell, you can post multiple gigs and different categories.

To find out more about Fiverr, check out the Fiverr Directory.

    Happy buying or selling!

Like helping out? Like taking surveys? Well if you said yes than SurveyMonkey Contribute is for you. You may be familiar with the survey creation platform called SurveyMonkey. If not here's their How It Works page, to explain more. The contribute site is an extension of the survey creation platform in which you can take short surveys based on your preferences and donate $0.50 towards a charity of your choice. In addition there is also a chance to win a $100 Amazon gift card.

SurveyMonkey Contribute is free to sign up. The initial survey in which you fill out your preferences is not long. I'd say it takes about 5 minutes. Many of the surveys I've taken with them are quick. More less than 3 minutes. There is a large list of charities to chose from and you can change the charity you selected at anytime. So far I've taken about 13 surveys. Here's a look at how much I've donated so far:

One thing about the surveys is they are available for a limited time. There have been many that weren't even open for 24 hours. My suggestion is if you get an email for a survey try to complete it within the day you receive it. The chance to win the Amazon gift card is through a sweepstakes game where you click a spin to win.

The chance to claim the spin to win stays active even after you complete the survey. If you don't complete the survey the company does not donate the $0.50 to the charity and there is no option to play to win. I've only spun played to win the Amazon gift card about 5 times. I enjoy answering the surveys and donating to the charities I selected. Oh you can only donate to one charity at a time as well. Many of the surveys are very intriguing and short and they are for a good cause!

To learn more about SurveyMonkey Contribute, check out their How It Works page.

For this week's Friday Find, I wanted to discuss BookBub. I've been looking for more ebooks to read lately during my free time lately and I found the site listed above. In order to access the site you must become a subscriber. When you subscribe you are offered with list of different genres in which you can select. These are your preferences. What the site does is review your preferences and sends you email updates of discounted or free ebooks, based on what you picked. I like this form of service. I have found a couple of interesting ebooks through this website, including Miracles Are for Real: When Heaven Touches Earth and Everything I Know.  The site also lists the platforms in which the ebook is avaliable on, as well as when the deal expires.

You can also view more discounted or free ebooks on the website. There are many categories to choose from.

On thing to keep in mind is to make note of the expiration date listed underneath the various platforms or platform the ebook is offered. Some of the deals are few days while others might be good for that day.

For more information on BookBub, check out their overview page.

I came across another subscription service for this week's Friday Find. This service is called The Young Scientist Club. According to their website, the science kits are award winning. I actually ended up on the the Magic School Bus Science Club subscription. I remember watching the Magic School bus after school and learning about how the body works and the layers of the Earth. Oh that Ms. Frizzle! The age range for the kits are 5 though 12. I know I have a while before May turns 5 but hey I might even get these for myself. I've always been interested in science, hence my Bachelor's in Earth Science: Meteorology. Hehe.

I was very intrigued by the Magic School Bus Science Club and clicked the logo to find the other products and subscriptions. I see science as more of a discovery of why things work they way they do and this company seems like a wonderful way to showing what science is. From the look of it, it seems their kits are very informative and offer a fun way to learn.  The Magic School Bus Science Club is $19.99 with shipping and handling included. They also offer kits such as Clifford the Big Red Dog, Science on a Gardening Adventure and Volcano Madness.

For more information about The Young Scientists Club visit their about us page.

For this week's Friday Find, I wanted to talk about a subscription service called Silly Rhino. The service features 7 eco-friendly and natural products for children ages 0 to 4. If you've been following my blog, you'll know I'm into subscription services. I found out about this service through My Subscription Addition.

I liked what the company had sent Liz, the author of My Subscription Addition. Her box was geared for four year olds and she received items like building blocks, heart shaped cutters and a framed Winnie the Pooh quote. I try to find more eco-friendly products especially for May and this seems like a very nice discovery service. The cost for a one month subscription is $35.99, three months is $34.99 and six months is $33.99. All options feature free shipping. With that prices I'll have to put this service on the back burner but I'll keep checking in to see what they offer.

Goodreads is this week's Friday Find. I was introduced to this website through searching books on the Google Play store and seeing the where some of the reviews were from. As part of my 30 before 30, I want to read 5 new books.

Goodreads looks like a nice website that has a good selection of books. According to the About Us page, 750 million books have been added to Goodreads and on Goodreads you can:
    • See which books your friends are reading.
    • Track the books you're reading, have read, and want to read.
    • Check out your personalized book recommendations. Our recommendation engine analyzes 20 billion data points to give suggestions tailored to your literary tastes.
    • Find out if a book is a good fit for you from our community’s reviews.
The book I found through the Google Play Store is Things Good Girls Don't Do by Codi Gary. It got good reviews from what I saw and I also liked what I saw in reading the description. I'll be testing out Goodreads more, and it'll be interesting to see what my friends are reading. I'm looking forward to discovering new books too. There's so many journeys to travel with books :-)

For this week's Friday Find, I wanted to discuss GCFLearnFree.Org. There are a lot of topics to choose from on their topics page. Such of the topics include Computer Basics, Career Interviewing Skills, Microsoft Access 2007, among much more. For this week's Friday Find, I wanted to share an app that I have been using for months now. It's called the Key Ring Rewards Card App and it's available on both IOS and Android devices at the moment. I found this app, while searching for a way to minimize the clutter all my store loyalty cards have on my key ring. There were numerous times I went to grab my keys in my purse and got stuck because of the cards on the key ring. Then there was just the extra baggage I had just carrying the cards around. Well I saw this app and instantly, it became so much easier to get my keys out of my purse and my key ring was free.

The app allows you to scan the barcode of the card and even add pictures of the card itself. The app also offers a list of reward programs you can join, around your location, coupons from stores around your location, weekly circulars of the stores nearby and a shopping list, among many other things. Here's a view of my loyalty cards:

Recently the makers of the app held a contest called the 2014 Wallet Slim Down Challenge. They were asking users of the app to show their wallets and/or key rings before using the app and after using the app. From the looks of the pictures posted on their Facebook page, the after pictures have really slimmed down. I submitted this photo, of my experience with using the app:

Just look at the difference afterward. Freedom! Oh if you're wondering about the saying, I've had that saying ever since my aunt gave it to me when I first started driving. I thought it was funny and I've NEVER gone on the sidewalk. Back to the contest, about a week after I'd entered, I got an email from the team saying I'd gotten runner-up for my photo. They said I'd be getting a swag bag full of Key Ring swag and looks like I'll be getting a t-shirt too. I thought the contest was nice and I look forward to more contests.

I really do think the app is a wonderful app, to help get rid of the clutter of physical reward cards. I always have my phone with me and with the app I can have those loyalty cards too. I have not had a problem in using the app too at the stores. It's kind of interesting pulling out my phone, for the cashier to scan the code. Sometimes I get stares, others think the app is cool. I'm happy knowing that my loyalty card is there and that I am still able to use the card, even though physically the card is not on my key ring.

To find out more about the Key Ring App check out their about page.

    **Update**
I received my winnings for being a runner-up from Key Ring on January 27th. I got a blue T-shirt with the logo #TameYourCards on the front, a keyring can opener and Key Ring koozie. Love the goodies. Thanks so much Key Ring!!! Such a great app!

Do you like getting free things? Well for this week's Friday Find, I found out about a new sampling service called PINCHme, from Makeuptalk.com.

Here's what the home page looks like:

I found signing up to be very easy. According to the site, the site offers the opportunity to"Try products from the world's leading brands for free." I saw the Past Products tab of previous samples which featured products like Katy Perry's perfume Killer Queen, Sally Hansen Airbrush Legs, Lady Gaga's perfume Fame, and Olay Regenerist Micro Sculpting Cream. I thought the products previously sampled seemed nice. Since I signed up though, I realized these products go fast. Since I've signed up, I've been able to select 3 products. The products I selected are below:

When you select a product, you have about 20 minutes before the offer expires in you cart. Shipping is free. I still haven't received the Gevalia Caramel Macchiato K-Cup (I don't have a Keurig K-cup Brewer though), I ordered December 20th, though viewing the forum thread on Makeuptalk, I see that others are in the same boat. Also in viewing the thread, I saw that samples are offered every other Tuesday at 12 pm Eastern Standard Time.

The site also offers reward points for reviewing products and ordering your first box, among other various things. You can also get points by clicking on "buy now" for the product, whether you buy the product or not. According to the site, at Level 2, you'll be entered in PINCHme monthly sweepstakes.

To find out more about PINCHme, check out their How It Works page. Seems like a great new service. I look forward to seeing what other samples they'll be offering.

    ***Update***
I received my lotion sample January 23rd and my coffee sample January 25th.

The lotion was very moisturizing and smelled nice. The coffee was good. I really liked the foam. We don't have a Keurig Brewer but I have a Teavana Single Serving Strainer which worked perfectly!

Throughout the week I stumble across a few things, like articles, apps, and programs I think might be interesting to share. I decided to create a "Friday Find" segment every Friday to specifically dedicated to these finds. For this Friday, I'd like to share an app I found called Viggle.

I've been using these services for a few days now and so far I haven't had any complaints. First off, Viggle. Viggle is a rewards application which rewards the user based on checking in to TV shows and checking in music. Now I'm very big on rewards programs. I've been a member of Pampers rewards, Kellogg's Family Rewards, Recyclebank,  Lean Cuisine rewards, among a few others for months now. When I heard about this service I thought to give it a try. Now with most reward programs collecting points takes patience. It took me over a year to redeem something off the catalog for Pampers rewards. Of course it might not take that long depending on what you want. For Viggle, I found points can collect rather quickly. No that does not mean you have to spend 14 hours in front of the TV. I actually find myself checking into the show and doing something else most of the time.

I have not had any problems checking into a show or checking in a song. If the app can not match the song or show you can manually enter in what you are watching or listening to. The app also has ways you can get more points like watching short videos or playing a live trivia game with the show. I did the live trivia game once for the movie Avatar, though this is a way to collect 350 or more points, I found myself checking my phone every 3 minutes for a new trivia question. It was crazy. I decided just to check in the show and do something else. Some shows have 3 times or 2 times more the points for the show. The points are associated with how long the show is. For example: a 60 minute show is worth 60 points. 2X would meant that would be doubled, equaling 120 points. That's only if you checking at the start. If you check in even a minute late that would be equal to 59 for the show, or 118 if it is doubled.

You can see what shows are doubled or tripled by viewing the "Featured Shows" tab on the app. Most of the show's I don't really even watch but I check in and I get points. I check-in many shows that aren't on the list, which I still receive points for. I've checked in a lot of the shows I watch with my daughter. I love Ni-Hao Kai-Lan. You can also favorite the show and of course, share your check-in with friends on Twitter or Facebook. The music tagging is nice. Ever heard a song on the radio and you don't know the name? Viggle can name the song and you get 25 points for it. There is a limit to how many songs you can tag daily though. You can only tag 20 songs and that's a daily limit of 500 points. Here's where I've got so far:

I haven't figured out how to unfollow people and those 20 people where there when I first signed up. 8,479 might seem like a lot, but for most of the rewards, I at least want, I have a long way to go. I found most of the show's to tag are more in the prime time hours which is nice. Overall, I'll say that the app is something to try, especially if you like listening to music. I still plan on using the app and test it out more. If anything it can help me find out the names of songs. Currently I use Soundhound.

For more about Viggle check out this learn more.
